BRITISH COLUMBIA/ALBERTA REGION OFFERS

———–

Android device with EPP Plan and add-on data (3 year contract)

You will want a plan that will give you enough minutes so you do not end up paying overage fees. Currently there is a very good plan called the “Employee Purchase Plan”. The plan is $25.00 per month and includes the following:

  • 200 Daytime Minutes
  • Unlimited Evenings & Weekends at 9PM

In terms of minutes and value, this is the best plan, however if you need more minutes, then obviously you should choose a higher voice plan.

What it comes down to is you may choose a Voice and Data plan combo (where they come together) or separate the two and choose a Voice plan and add a Data plan option.

As mentioned previously, you can still pick up the $25.00 EPP Plan and then for a data option, the best value is the Smartphone Data Value Pack. This pack is $40 and gives you:

$40 Smartphone Data Value Pack

  • 500MB of Data
  • Caller Display with Name Display
  • Enhanced Voicemail
  • Unlimited Sent/Received Text Messages
  • Unlimited Sent/Received Picture/Video Messages
  • WhoCalled service

If you need more minutes or more data, you simply increase your plan, but that does mean increasing the amount you pay. (In other words, you do not have to choose what I just recommended. There are many VOICE plans to choose from but only ONE $40 Smartphone Data Value Pack).

The Total

If you get the EPP plan with the $40 Smartphone Data Value pack, your monthly total with all fees and taxes (in the BC/ALBERTA REGION) will be as follows:

$25 EPP plan with Smartphone Data Value pack total: $75.69 in BC and $70.96 in AB

The Android devices will cost $79 (Dream) or $79 (Magic) under this plan.

Voice and Data Combo plans (3 year contract)

$50 Mega Value Voice & Data Plan

  • 100 Daytime Minutes + 100 Bonus Minutes
  • Unlimited Evenings & Weekends (9PM)
  • 500MB of Data (Double data to 1GB for $5/month more)

And then you may choose ONE (1) of the following free promos to add to the plan:

Unlimited Messages (unlimited received) or Double your Daytime Minutes or My5 Canada-Wide or Unlimited Local Network Calling

Note: If you add $9 and make the plan $59 or $7 and make the plan $57, you can start your evenings at 5PM or 6PM respectively.

Next, if you want Voicemail and all the extras, you may add the $20 Smartphone Value Pack to the above plan. That pack includes the following:

$20 Smartphone Value Pack

  • Enhanced Voicemail
  • Caller Display with Name Display
  • Unlimited  sent/received Text Messages
  • Unlimited sent/received Picture/Video Messages
  • WhoCalled Service

The Totals

If you get just the Mega Value Voice & Data plan alone, your monthly totals with all fees and taxes (in the BC/ALBERTA REGION) will be as follows:

$50 Mega Value Voice & Data plan total: $58.89 in BC and $55.21 in AB

If you add the $20 Smartphone Value pack, your totals become:

$50 Mega Value Voice & Data plan with Smartphone Pack total: $81.29 in BC and $76.21 in AB

The Android devices will be $79 (Dream) or $79 (Magic) with the Mega Value Voice & Data/Smartphone plan, whether you add the $20 Smartphone Pack or not.

Note: Because the Mega Value Voice & Data/Smartphone plan already includes a Data option, you will not be able to “add” more than 1GB of data to these plans as you can if you get a SEPARATE voice and separate data option.

Anyone know what the cost is to use an existing plan (a year in to a 3-year (the 6GB data plan released for the iPhone)) for an HTC?

    Thanks :)
