WIND Mobile To Offer Android Devices Soon?

WIND Mobile, one of the newest wireless carriers in Canada, has been promoting both low prices and no contracts. However the one missing feature of WIND is a killer device.

Well WIND may be getting the killer device they need and it comes in the form of Android! During a “Twitterview” that WIND hosted, the company indicated that they were testing an Android device at the time.

The statement came when users were asking if WIND would launch Android devices:

Soon. I’m testing one right now actually. So far so good.

Recent rumors have pointed toward WIND picking up an Android device from Motorola or HTC or maybe even the Google Nexus One.

What do you think?

That’s awesome. It’s about time we got a good carrier paired with an Android device.

Do you think that MOtorola Milestone (XT 720) be hit the Wind?

Just sold my unlocked iPhone 3G, ported my number to Wind and bought myself a Nexus One from Google online. I am one happy customer.

ps $7.50 for voice and $10 for data, no “System Access Fee” (kiss my @$$ Rogers)

      Ooh…Kaay…

      That’s 50% off the $15 ’50 text/100 minute’ voice plan for 6 months, and…
Hmm… that $10 data plan is for 50MB, the $20 /500MB date plan is closer to my current iPhone 3G usage.

It’s the calling in / calling out area stuff that’s confusing the crap out of me :-(
I’m in a small town near Calgary… so… everything is pay-per-use for me when I’m not in the city? Which would mean Wind is not for me :-(

WIND hurry up with this! I need to get away from this hell called Rogers.
