Want A Motorola Milestone For Free? Become A Motorola Fan!

Yesterday, Telus finally debuted the much hyped Motorola Milestone. The device is available for $199.99 on a 3-year term with a voice & data plan of $50 or more per month.

The Milestone is also available on two or one year terms, but the price for the device increases. Overall, it is going to be an investment to get the Milestone. So how about one for free?

Motorola is giving Canadians a chance to pick up the Motorola Milestone for free! You will still have to bring carrier service, but at least the device will be $0! The contest runs for four weeks and every week Motorola is giving away the Milestone.

To win, head over to Motorola’s Facebook page and become a fan. Once you are a fan of Motorola, you will automatically be entered into the contest. Winners will receive a brand new Motorola Milestone and Media dock!

(Thanks to all those who sent this in!)

Well I couldn't wait and I can't rely on chance, so I went to the store and am purring now. This phone is sweet!

Remember never to buy into a three year contract. Voice + data @ 50$/month will quickly pay for an unlocked, out of contract, unlocked phone in ~10 months service. Get cheaper service / shorter contracts and buy the phone at full price. And don't buy at Rogers.

I think I don't get what you mean. If I want a phone with a data plan and a voice plan with which I can use some minutes to talk, It will cost me around 50$/month anyway. So if I think I will keep the phone and plan for quite a long time why wouldn't I take the 50$/month contract and pay less for the device?

You can do that for much less without contract nowadays, and your device will be outdated way before any current contract ends. Why commit to a contract ?

Could you give me some examples because I'd really like to save money like you seem to do. Let's say I want to change phone after 1 1/2 I still don't understand how buying two 600$ devices will make me save over buying 1 device for 200$ and the other one for 600$

Koodoo and Fido, for starters, offer no-contract services. Combine that with call-back and 5 anytime… please do the math. When new providers/services/prices show up within a year, breaking your contract will cost you a lot. Such costs are designed to keep you paying more even if another company could server you better for less.
