As we reported at the beginning of October for Bell Canada, TELUS has now officially announced the availability of its HSPA+ network for November 5, 2009.
The new TELUS HSPA+ network will have speeds up of to 21Mbps, matching current HSPA+ provider Rogers Wireless. On the launch of the network on November 5, TELUS will cover most of the Canadian population where it has service now. The new TELUS HSPA+ network will be overlaid on top of the company’s existing CDMA network.
The HSPA+ network update will bring new handsets to TELUS customers across Canada and the network also introduces Canadians to new competition, as Rogers (and Fido) are currently the only providers of HSPA+ in Canada.
