Telus Releases The LG Shine Plus, Galaxy Apollo Coming Soon

Telus yesterday released the LG Shine Plus (also known as the LG Ally on Verizon in the US.) Mid-range 3.2 inch Android phone with a full QWERTY keyboard running 2.1. Also comes with a 5MP camera, GPS, Bluetooth, Wifi and 3G.

There was talks of the Apollo coming to Telus and now it’s been confirmed. The 2.1 running Galaxy Apollo comes with a 3.2 inch screen and a 5MP camera. 3G, Wifi, GPS and Bluetooth 3.0 are also present. It even has the Swype on-screen keyboard built-in which a lot of people including myself really like.

Great to see more and more Android phones coming to Canadian carriers. We’re eventually going to hit a point where the average phone you pick up from the store will just come running Android. Wouldn’t that be something?
