    Android 2.1?

Does this means it's the only way to get Android 2.1 on a HTC Hero: Sell your old one, and buy a new one at full price? I remember reading this :

“[due to a] lack of effort the HERO’s update to Android 2.1 has been delayed to the first week of May.”…

I guess the “lack of effort” comes from Telus… although HTC is currently making about 2 announcements a day for new Android 2.1 phones… can't we just concentrate on updating your current lineups before pushing rebadged phones over and over again..

This phone comes with Android 1.6. Telus has not yet committed to upgrading this device to Android 2.1 yet.

Any word on the likely-hood of the Milestone getting a cut in the near future?

I’m pretty sure the Hero still ships with Android 1.5, not 1.6. Also, the cost on a 3-yr agreement is now $0.
