After opened pre-orders by Best Buy, Telus has now officially lunched the Android-powered Motorola BACKFLIP. The Backflip is one of three new social media Android devices coming from Motorola, along with the Dext and Quench from Bell and Rogers, respectively.
The latest Telus Android device is available for $99.99 on a 3-year agreement and is available at both Telus and Best Buy locations. Promotional pricing does require a minimum conbined $45 voice and data plan.
The device is also available at the following price points:

- Outright: $399.99
Some of the Backflip tech specs include:
- Android OS 1.5 with MOTOBLUR
- 3.1-inch HVGA display (resolution of 320 x 480)
- 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and video
- Music player
- 3.5mm headset jack

The Android OS 1.5 is the low part of the device and we’re hoping it will be upgradable in the future to Android 2.1 or 2.2, but there has been no news of that yet.
