Only a couple of months after the launch of Sony’s Xperia Z3+ (known as the Xperia Z4 in other markets), it looks like its successor may have already been leaked.
According to french site Nowhereelse, they have received several shots from a Chinese source of what appears to be an Xperia Z5 dummy .
Since the phone’s details are unfortunately covered by a case, there’s not much to look at except for a very general overview of the design, which to me does not look much different than the Xperia Z2/Z3 and Z3+.
The company’s signature power button has been completely changed as it’s now an elongated button. As for USB Type-C, it won’t make its debut on the Z5 as one of the photos clearly show a regular USB 2.0 connector.
The phone is expected to be announced during IFA 2015 on September 2nd alongside the smaller Z5 Compact.
