SaskTel May Receive Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant!

With SaskTel almost ready to deploy their 3G network, the wireless company has confirmed a series of devices that will be featured on their network.

For the launch, SaskTel will have the Blackberry Bold, BlackBerry Pearl 9100, Nokia 7230, Samsung Gravity 3, Samsung Gravity Touch, Nokia 6350 and a Novatel MC998D USB data stick.

The one type of device missing, aside from an iPhone, is an Android-powered device. Well, if a SaskTel dealer website is to be believed, the Android-powered Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant may be coming to SaskTel!

There is no official release date or pricing, so it is difficult to say if the Galaxy S Vibrant will be a launch device for the new 3G network. At this time, the dealer website has an information page where users can submit their email address for more information.

The Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant features Android OS 2.1, a 4-inch AMOLED display, 1GHz CPU, 5-megapixel camera with video, and built-in AGPS and WiFi.

It's great to see Android phones on so many different carriers, especially a phone as high end as the Samsung Galaxy S.
