Rogers is clueless. LG Customer Service says that Rogers is currently testing OS 1.6 and will be available soon for download from the LG Website (not sure why Rogers won’t be making it available…wonder if that means it won’t be supported)? Not sure I trust LG – since they’ve been promising 1.6 since spring. Their customer service has been promising 1.6 this October 2010, but since the month is almost over, I am at least hoping that I can get my hands on it before the end of the year…

I just got off the phone with Rogers, and there’s apparently no update for the LG Eve at rogers. Not in hand, not in the works. According to their tech support, it’s dead at 1.5.

I got my LG Eve from Rogers about a week ago.. I do suggest getting one except for the fact that it does freeze up sometimes.. :S Not a major deal though. Where I went to get my phone they told me that i can only get the LG Eve on a 3 year contract not sure why though, probably because the phone is so expensive hope I could help.

I personally think that all phones should be unlokced and now have to deal with this updating crap. I know its buisness and these companies want to make $$. But you would think that they also want customers right?

heyy im thinking about buying a new phone and lg eve looks like the phone i want to buy. should i buy it? rogers is saying that it is going to update to 1.6 so i guess thats great news!…so should i purchase it on a 3yr plan?

Yes! I hope the updating doesnt get rid of my data, i like my data. If it does are there anyways to painlessly backup fast?

That's good news, because Rogers previously said that they would never update the LG Eve. Too bad I already turned down an Eve that was offered to me because it would never have 1.6.
