Rogers LG Eve To Receive Android 1.6 This Spring

by Billy on February 3rd, 2010

Just a brief note this morning for Rogers LG Eve owners.

LG Canada has posted on their Twitter page that they plan to push out Android 1.6 to all Rogers LG Eve owners this Spring 2010.

“LG will release an upgrade to Android 1.6 OS for the LG Eve this Spring, for Rogers customers.(Available for download on Rogers/LG websites)”

The update will be available on both the LG support site and Rogers Wireless support site. No exact date was mentioned beyond the “Spring” time frame, so stay tuned.

I personally think that all phones should be unlokced and now have to deal with this updating crap. I know its buisness and these companies want to make $$. But you would think that they also want customers right?

this is great as i have not found a way to rot this phone for my daughter. any word of they are gonna update the htc magic too. or how to root the magic after the update

That's good news, because Rogers previously said that they would never update the LG Eve. Too bad I already turned down an Eve that was offered to me because it would never have 1.6.
