OnePlus recently posted information about its use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC in their upcoming smartphone and now they’ve clarified a bunch of things people were asking about.
First off, the Snapdragon 810 in the OnePlus Two will be underclocked at 1.8 GHz on all cores in order to create as little heat as possible.
Secondly, the 810 costs the company 60% more than the 801 currently in the OnePlus One and as a result, it will make the overall price of the phone higher than $322. I’m hopeful that the OnePlus Two’s base model will cost $349 since it’s the perfect price point for a flagship killer (and also because the Nexus 5 was the same price back in 2013).
The phone is expected to be released in Q3 of this year.
