To all you Moto X and even Moto X (2013) owners, this news is just for you!
Motorola has now published their release notes for the Android 5.1 Lollipop update on their website for everyone to look at before the OTA update starts rolling out. You might have known Motorola skipped the upgrade to Android 5.0 on the original Moto X and announced that it would be updating the phone directly to the second maintenance release of Lollipop known as Android 5.1, unlike the newer Moto X (2014) which did get the update.
To summarize the update’s release notes, it obviously includes all the features from stock Android but it also features Motorola’s own software suite AND Ambient Display found on the Nexus 6, alongside the usual Moto Active Display.
