Motorola Cliq Coming to Rogers Next Year?
Android devices are slowly coming to Canada and right now it seems like Rogers will be getting a Motorola device in early 2010, according to the Rogers Wireless president:
“It’s going to be pervasive and it’s going to create a lot more smart phones,” said Rob Bruce, president of Rogers Wireless, referring to the Android operating system. “There will be a Motorola Android device in our portfolio in 2010.”
The Motorola Android device he is referring to would most likely be the newest Motorola Cliq. This new Android-powered smartphone recently had some details released by T-Mobile in the USA. T-Mobile customers will gt the Cliq on October 19th and will cost $200 (the same price as an iPhone 3GS).
What’s so cool about the Motorola Cliq? The phone has a slide out keyboard plus touchscreen. It is also a “social” phone as it has your Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace all on one homescreen–pretty cool stuff! Lots of people are looking forward to the Cliq in the USA. It’s only a matter of time before it hits Canadian shores next year!
Anyone else out there interested in seeing Rogers carry the Motorola Cliq? What Android phone are you looking forward to see in Canada?
