Moto G Successor To Release On September 10

Looks like we finally have a date after all for the release of Motorola’s next mid-range budget phone.

According to GSM Arena, they have received word from an internal Motorola employee that the Moto G2 ,or whatever it may be called, will be released on September 10 and some retailers will even receive the device (could just be a dummy) as early as the end of this month.

However, what I find strange is that this version will be reportedly almost double the price as the current one putting it between the Moto X. Hopefully that’s just a placeholder for the real price but nonetheless, the device is expected to come with a much larger 5-inch 720p display, 1GB of RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC, an upgraded 2MP front, 8MP rear cameras and 8GB of RAM.

The Moto X+1 is hinted to be released on Verizon in the US next month as well so it would make sense for the G2/G+1 to be released around the same time.

Just a student crazy about technology.
