Missing Sync For Android Adds Wireless Sync

In December, an application called The Missing Sync was made available for Android owners. The Missing Sync is device synchronization software and what makes The Missing Sync unique is that the application uses WiFi to wirelessly sync contacts between an Android device and the host computer. The Missing Sync supports most popular contacts applications including Microsoft Outlook and Apple’s Address Book.

The Missing Sync can also be used to transfer photos, videos, music and ring tones via USB. Users can also upload various document files such as Adobe’s PDF format and files from Microsoft’s Office suite.

Well, there is now more good news from the wireless sync part. An update to The Missing Sync, version 1.3, added the ability to sync a Mac or PC with an Android device wirelessly. Users can choose to use either Bluetooth or WiFi to begin a wireless sync.

Previously, users could only wirelessly sync contacts but now Android devices can wirelessly sync contacts, music, photos, notes, and other files. Even more, along with the 1.3 release, the PC version of The Missing Sync includes a ringtone editor that has been available in the Mac version of the software.

The Missing Sync for Android 1.3 is now available as a free upgrade to current owners of previous versions. New users may purchase the software for $39.95.
