Are you a fan of old games? Then you’ll be happy to know that Japanese video game maker Capcom has just announced it will be bringing one of its most popular games, Mega Man to Android and iOS come 2017.
Mega Man (or Rock Man) has starred in over 100 games throughout the years, but Capcom will be releasing the first six games of the series on mobile on January 6. Sadly only Japanese users will be able to play Mega Man on their phone or tablet for the time being. However, it’s pretty obvious Capcom will unleash the mobile apps globally at a later date.
The Nintendo Entertainment System launched the first six Mega Man games between 1987 and 1993, so if you are a nostalgic of older times you’re going to be thrilled.
Mega Man is a game notorious for its difficulty which stars Blue Bomber, a robotic character who aims to save the world from the clutches of the evil Doctor Wily.
Capcom has already shared with us an image to show us what’s coming in early 2017 and as you can see from the image above, the Android game seems to retain the 4:3 aspect ratio. The free space on the screen will probably be filled with the virtual D-pad and controls.
