LG Optimus One Now Being Sold Through Telus

Telus has begun selling the LG Optimus One. This guy ships with Android 2.2 Froyo and it’s FREE on a 3-year contract, $199 no term. You get a 3.2″ 320×480 display, 3.2MP camera, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and 3G. Wait, did I mention Froyo?

It’s certainly a great price for the phone though I’ve read the processor can be slow at times from the earlier UK reviews. Anyone getting this?

“…is priced at $199 on a 3-year contract.” is incorrect, it’s $199 to purchase no contract.

    It’s $0 on a 3 year contract.

i wouldnt want this shitty phone running froyo, it WILL lag like hell.

Wouldn’t the JIT compiler give it a badly needed boost?

(Haven’t tried it yet. I have a Telus Milestone, last in line for the 2.2 update.)

Yeah the fact that it’s running Froyo w/ JIT will give it a massive performance boost.

I’ve tried it out, once it’s booted up fully it’s pretty slick. Too many widgets might slow it down, but I was impressed with the responsiveness.

      $199, can’t go wrong.
