by Billy on October 26th, 2009

With the introduction of the new HSPA+ network from TELUS, the new high-speed mobile network brings a slew of new handsets to Canada. One of those handsets is the much discussed HTC Hero (white/black)!

The HTC Hero, running Google’s Android, will be available on the new HSPA+ network from TELUS starting November 5 2009. This is great news for new/existing TELUS customers that have been waiting for the HTC Hero to hit Canada!

TELUS has posted the following details about the HTC Hero:

  • See the applications that are most important to you at home or work, day or night with multiple profiles for 7 customizable home screens.
  • Stay close with conversation history at a glance; phone logs, messages, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, IM and email updates are organized into a single view by contact.
  • Experience applications integrated throughout your phone with the latest and greatest applications from the continuously growing Android™ Market.

The HTC Hero recently won the Phone of the Year award from T3 and now brings the Sense UI and Android 1.5 (Cupcake) to TELUS customers. The Hero will be available for $99.99 on a 3-year contracted voice and data plan.
