Google Updates Nexus One Carriers With WIND Mobile Support

When the Google Nexus One received support in Canada, users could only use Rogers or Fido with the device. This left many Telus and Bell customers wondering why they weren’t supported, even though Telus and Bell used SIM cards as of November 2009.

At the end of March 2010, Google updated their Nexus One home page to include official support for the Telus and Bell network. So at the time, Canadian Google Nexus One owners could use the device on Rogers, Fido, Telus, or Bell. Well, what about WIND Mobile?

Before today, WIND Mobile customers had to select the T-Mobile version of the Google Nexus One to use it with their WIND plan. Well not anymore!

Google has now officially updated the Nexus One home page to include WIND as a fully supported carrier! Canadians can now use their unlocked Nexus One with WIND, Rogers, Fido, Telus, or Bell!

I got one. It works on telus but people at telus are pretty clueless about it. Just insist its gonna work with their Sim Card even tough their system doesn't know the IMEI code for the nexus. My data plan doesn't seem to work but it could something completely unrelated.

For WIND, I had to setup the APN to get data to work.
