Google Updates Nexus One Carriers, Includes Telus And Bell

With the release of the Google Nexus One in Canada, Google stated that Rogers and Fido customers were fully supported. This left many Telus and Bell customers wondering why they weren’t supported, even though Telus and Bell now use SIM cards.

As of this morning, Bell and Telus have been added to the list of supported Nexus One carriers alongside Rogers/Fido.

The Nexus One Will Work on Rogers, Fido, Telus, and Bell–What About WIND?

The Google website allows users to order the Nexus One unlocked and shipped for $529US. After the change today, the website now says Rogers/Fido, Telus, and Bell are supported carriers but what if you are a WIND user?

If you use WIND service, just select the T-Mobile version and you’re all ready to go!

Google just sent me a Nexus One that is built for the WIND frequencies as part of their developer program. I have not opened it yet and have ordered myself another that works on Rogers frequencies. Before I put the WIND compatible one on ebay, I'm hoping that someone in Canada will want to save some money and shipping time. Contact me at garnet.ulrich at gmail dot com if you want this shipped (or pick up) from Ottawa and save quite a bit of money.
