Gmail Priority Inbox now available on mobile web app

If you’re a Gmail user on Android, chances are that you use the native Gmail app on your phone which was updated in September to bring new features like Priority Inbox. But if you prefer the web app in your mobile browser, Priority Inbox is now available there as well.

This update is more to address iPhone users who lack a native app from Google and have to access their accounts using Mobile Safari. Nevertheless, the new feature works with most HTML5 mobile browsers and that includes Android 1.5+ and iOS3+.

Oh, and if you are one of the people who uses the mobile app on Android, I would love to know your reasoning for it!

    There was a google cloud print option that is only available in the web app. Also, in the native android app, when you scroll down, the header of the email follows. I know this is a “feature” but I’d rather have an option to turn that off

      Oh neat. I haven’t used Google Cloud Print mostly because I almost never print.

    The Gmail app was updated? Oh right, “requires 2.2″. Thank you Telus and your promised “Q1 2011″ Milestone update.
