Samsung released the Galaxy S6 earlier this year and one of the major cons long time Samsung fans talked about was the absense of a micro SD card slot. Every Galaxy S smartphone prior to the S6 came with one, and maybe even the upcoming one.
According to HDBlog.it, Samsung is considering on having a micro SD card slot for its upcoming Galaxy S7 and S7 Plus smartphone. LG took advantage of this and provided a microSD slot and a removable battery in its LG G4 smartphone in order to try and capture old Samsung owners.
The return of a micro SD card slot would be a very interesting move as Samsung previously stated the reason the Galaxy S6 did not have a micro SD card slot was because of the phone’s UFS 2.0 file system.
