So paying 350$ more just to avoid the contract is quite a lot. Someone could buy the phone for 200$ with contract and cancel after 1 1/2 year for 360$.<br><br>The only reason I would see to buy the device alone is if someone would like to get a cheaper plan without data, which is feasible because you still have wifi available to use the device.
