Bell’s HTC Sensation gets OS Update

Just a quick note here.

Bell has pushed out a OS update for the HTC sensation 4G to help fix a booting issue that the device suffered. I personally only had my phone self restart itself once, but it’s nice to know Bell and HTC patched this up rather quickly

I read many rumours of the following:

The update coming on Monday to the Sensation is fixing “a booting issue” according to Virgin

The Android 2.3.3 update for the HTC Sensation on Virgin Mobile Canada will go live on July 25th.

So clearly Virgin Mobile will follow suit with this latest fix.

A bit of confusion follows, as the update is 2.3.3 which is already the current version Bell and virgin are already running. The updated build number is 1.35.666.1, which comes in a 28mb update file. You can wait for yours to be pushed to you, or you can manually go grab it now be going to your Settings > About Phone > Software updates on your HTC Sensation. Bell has released theirs now, Virgin Mobile users will have to wait a couple extra days.
