Andypad – the affordable tablet
Andypad announced their new lineup yesterday.
There’s the standard and pro version, and here’s a brief comparison:
| Standard | Pro | |
| Storage | 8GB | 16GB |
| Size |
7” |
|
| Resolution | 800×480 | 1024×600 |
| Touchscreen | Resistive | Capacitive |
| External storage |
microSD |
|
| Processor |
1.2GHz |
|
| Camera |
2MP / 0.3MP |
|
| Cost | £129(~$203) | £179(~283) |
A brief look and I see that there’s a “RESISTIVE” screen still in existence? Oi. For the $80 savings would anybody buy the standard version?
There’s also no indication of which version of Gingerbread they run – but does it really matter?
Hit up their website for more information – they’ve even got a neat ‘interactive’ display of their units.
If you haven’t got one of the touchpads cheaply, or are a little strapped for cash this might be a good buy. Especially for that luddite family member of yours who likes books or something.
