Android vs iPhone OS 3.0: Who Wins?

Recently, Apple announced a preview of their iPhone OS 3.0 and within that update they helped elevate the iPhone to what it should’ve been when it first launched. So just how does the Android OS compare to iPhone OS 3.0?

The folks at Lifehacker created this handy dandy comparison chart. Check it out and tell me what you think:

Now, what makes the Android system unique is that the OS is completely open source, which allows anybody to change it up for the better, or for worse. I think Android hasn’t even come close to its potential just yet. Cellphone manufacturers need to develop more appealing hardware to compliment and take advantage of everything Android has to offer.

So, who do you think wins? Android or the iPhone?

Yeah iPhone 3.0 software is great right now. Soon though they won’t be able to keep up with the Android development since WAY more people will be doing work for it than iPhone.

I agree at the moment 3.0 is getting all the attention. But never doubt the Open Source community, Android is going to be on many more cellphones in the future.

Great write up. The iPhone is truly awesome and I don’t like being without it. This time last year I had jumped in a pool with my iPhone and it was dead. I had to wait 9 days before I was able to buya new one. The phone I had was a cheap go phone. I really love all the games that can be downloaded to the iPhone. The best part about the iPhone to me is the ability to check emails on the go. Thanks for the information.
