Android vs iPhone OS 3.0: Who Wins?

by Android Fan on March 19th, 2009

Recently, Apple announced a preview of their iPhone OS 3.0 and within that update they helped elevate the iPhone to what it should’ve been when it first launched. So just how does the Android OS compare to iPhone OS 3.0?

The folks at Lifehacker created this handy dandy comparison chart. Check it out and tell me what you think:

Now, what makes the Android system unique is that the OS is completely open source, which allows anybody to change it up for the better, or for worse. I think Android hasn’t even come close to its potential just yet. Cellphone manufacturers need to develop more appealing hardware to compliment and take advantage of everything Android has to offer.

So, who do you think wins? Android or the iPhone?

  • I agree at the moment 3.0 is getting all the attention. But never doubt the Open Source community, Android is going to be on many more cellphones in the future.
  • Yeah iPhone 3.0 software is great right now. Soon though they won't be able to keep up with the Android development since WAY more people will be doing work for it than iPhone.
