At the end of February, Google Canada went on record and told Canadians that we may see paid apps in the Android Market soon. At that time, Google Canada spokesperson Wendy Rozeluk said,
“There are many factors that come into play to make sure the selling and purchasing processes run smoothly. It takes time to bring support to more countries, which is something we are working hard to do”.
Well, in just under a month later, Google Canada seems to be making a lot of progress. Reports from Android users indicate that Google has made paid apps available in the Canadian Android Market.
To download a paid app, jump into the Android Market, find the app, and download! At this time however, Google is still making adjustments as the paid apps are still listed in either US Dollars, British Pounds, or Euros.
So get on the Marketplace and let us know if your Android device can download paid apps!

Via Rogers, I download my first paid app today and it worked great. Besides the US or British pound issue there was only one small bug.
During the checkout, it automatically inserted a “+” in front of my phone number however it gave me an error when I submitted. After I removed the “+”, I was in!
