Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread for Samsung Captivate gets Leaked

Back in June we saw Android 2.3.3 leak for the Samsung Captivate and the leaks just keep on coming. This time we have an official leaked build of Android 2.3.4 for the Cappy courtesy of Przekret over at XDA. I’m not going to tell you how to flash this, but Odin is what you need The rest you will have to figure out, or ask Google. I do recommend checking out XDA for instructions if you have little or no experience flashing customer roms. Just know that it is out there and if you’re rooted, I’m sure some crafty developers have already cooked up a few good ROMs from this.

My Captivate doesn’t look like the one on the picture above. Has SAMUNG on the top but no ROGERS anywhere. I did buy it from Rogers in Ontario. By mail order. Last October.

Didn’t wait for Roger’s mercy and flashed Cyanogen Mod. Couldn’t be happier. Running Android 2.3.5 now ;-) so when Sammy’s version gets official it will be behind.
    Shame!

When is rogers planning on releasing a firmware upgrade? I hate some of these glitchy builds.
