The Moto G was originally announced in November of 2013 and since then, it has become the company’s best selling budget smartphone. The sole reason why this phone turned out to be a success was because of its awesome price-to-performance ratio and of course, stock Android. Now Motorola may be getting ready to unveil its 3rd generation Moto G this month.
According to Brazillian site Tecmundo, they have received word from a source indicating the announcement date for the 3rd generation Moto G to be July 28th. Specs for the phone include a 5-inch 720p display, 1.4 GHz Snapdragon 410 SoC, 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage for the lower end model and 2GB of RAM with 16GB of internal for the higher end model.
The 3rd gen model will also come with a IPx7 water resistance rating making the rumoured $179 US price point very appealing.
