Android users are lucky as iPhone users on AT&T in the USA don’t have this feature yet, but it has been rumoured to be coming.

Check out this video courtesy of Android Central. It’s a walkthrough of Froyo 2.2:

Below is a demo of Adobe Flash Player 10.1 on Google’s latest Nexus One “Superphone”. I think it looks awesome and once Flash becomes standard on smartphones, you will truly have the web in your hands. Streaming videos on your phone? Check! But, Flash brings unwanted ads and can definitely put some strain on the hardware of any smartphone.

Are you excited for Adobe Flash to come standard on smartphones? Or is Flash on its way out to HTML5?

With the hoopla on the internet over Google’s Nexus One Android phone, we only saw unauthorized spy shots of the infamous Nexus One. That has all changed now that Engadget has revealed that they have received their very own Nexus One to review.

Yesterday they supplied a mini sneak peek at this interesting Google phone, which we will be sure to hear more about on January 5th, the slated date for Google’s Media Event.

Here’s is a summary of what is packed within the Nexus One:

The HTC-built and (soon to be) Google-sold device runs Android 2.1 atop a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, a 3.7-inch, 480 x 800 display, has 512MB of ROM, 512MB of RAM, and a 4GB microSD card (expandable to 32GB). The phone is a T-Mobile device (meaning no 3G if you want to take it to AT&T), and includes the standard modern additions of a light sensor, proximity sensor, and accelerometer. The Nexus One has a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, and we have to say so far the pictures it snaps look pretty decent (and the camera software is much faster than the same component on the Droid). The phone is incredibly thin and sleek — a little thinner than the iPhone — but it has pretty familiar HTC-style industrial design.

The following video will show you how fast this phone really is, compared to the Droid and the iPhone 3GS. The live wallpaper feature is pretty neat and the navigation looks really nice; the fluid motion of the Android OS will definitely prove itself to be a legitimate contender to the iPhone. Check out the following video:

Now the question we all are asking is…when will the Nexus One be available in Canada? Will Canadians continue their proud tradition of waiting months to years for the latest electronics?

Well, the folks over at Android Central have just put up side by side speed test. Here, it compares the Droid vs the Eris vs the iPhone 3GS. From the looks of it, the iPhone seems to be the one to beat still. But I wouldn’t doubt that in time, Android phones will either meet or beat their iPhone counterparts. Check out the video below:

My favorite part is how the synchronization of contacts to Gmail in real time is so cool. It’s comparable to Apple’s MobileMe but it’s free! It’s only a matter of time before we start seeing some Google Android phones carried in Canada by Rogers or Fido. As always, our neighbours down south seem to get first crack at all the techno goodies out there. But remember friends, patience is a virtue!
