Samsung’s behemoth of a tablet is now available at Bell store across Canada. I’m not even sure you can call this thing a tablet any more when it sports a massive 18.4″ display. Maybe we need a new term? Tablivision? Tab.V? I’m sure someone will come up with something… but I digress. The massive tablet is will set you back a pretty penny or two as it is listed at $699. You’d think you’d get some pretty top notch specs for that price but things are pretty average under the hood.
The device features an 18.4″ 1080p display, Exynos 7580 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, 2.1MP front facing camera and a 5700 mAh battery. And despite being sold through Bell, a wireless carrier, the device is only WiFi capable.
Samsung is positioning this device as a TV replacement and while I understand their thought process, I’m not sure it’ll catch on. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
