Telus Drops HTC Hero Price To $49.99

by Billy on December 18th, 2009

For the holidays, Telus has lowered the price of the HTC Hero to $49.99, which is down from $99.99. Telus customers will still require a 3-year agreement to receive the new pricing.

With $50 off the device, 6PM evenings free across Telus plans and no activation fee, this is not a bad deal for a Telus Android phone.

Why is it that us early adopters get the shaft? People are saying that Canada needs more competition, but I've seen this phone drop over $100 in cost in a month. Not too mention the early evenings is a pretty valuable addition. I waited months for this phone to be released so I could say goodbye to Rogers for good. Looks like I should have waited a bit longer!
