Sony is rumoured to have been working on another flagship smartphone for later this year, and that said phone is going to be the Xperia Z5 alongside the smaller Z5 Compact.
A couple of user agent profile’s for both phones have been leaked and now we get to see at least minimal specs for the phones. Both the Z5 and Z5 Compact will come with the controversial Snapdragon 810 SoC, an SoC which is been famous for its overheating issue with several smartphones from several different OEMs. The recently released Z3+ also experiences overheating problems due to the Snapdragon 810 inside so I’m surprised Sony is using this for their next flagship phone.
Similar to the Z3 and Z3 Compact, the Z5 will come with a 1080p display while the Z5 Compact will sport a 720p display.
The phones are expected to be announced in Fall 2015 in time for the upcoming James Bond “Spectre” movie.
