Motorola Milestone to Launch on Telus February 18, Best Buy Pre-Order Available

by Android Fan on February 5th, 2010

Looks like we have great news thanks to BestBuy.ca! The Motorola Milestone has been confirmed to launch on Telus on February 18th. If you visit Best Buy’s website, you will see a Flash banner that says you can pre-order in store with a $50 deposit. We previously mentioned about the Milestone appearing on the Telus website a few days ago. Looks like those early January rumours turned out to be false, eh?

As for pricing, that has not been released yet. But if we take a look at the industry pricing from the launch of other smartphones like the iPhone and Palm Pre (which is now $0 over 3 years!), we can deduct a price of $199 over 3 years would be the norm. However, if Telus wants to aggressively price this phone, I can see lots of Android enthusiasts jumping on this handset.

Take a look at the screenshot below from the BestBuy.ca website:

I'm guessing this won't run on Rogers either?

  2. Frakked Again says:

The Telus version of the Milestone has been castrated so it will only work on 850/1900 networks 3G (and maybe 2g GSM, but on the same frequencies only). There is no roaming to Europe with this phone except on Telus' expensive partners. See the Telus site for Roaming Information. They took a really glorious world phone and made it a Telus-only phone.
