The Samsung Galaxy S7 will undoubtedly be one of the most popular smartphones in the world in 2016 and thanks to a leak, we may have our first look at the design. Third party case maker ITSKINS provided the images that you see and, according to them, they are basic schematics for the upcoming Galaxy S7.
As you can see, the device is very very very reminiscent of the Galaxy S6 which really shouldn’t be any surprise as a recent report had suggested that Samsung wouldn’t be doing too much tweaking to the design. The home button is oddly square, however, but I’m guessing that’s not how the final version will look. You’ll also notice that the USB port looks to be your standard micro USB type rather than USB Type-C but I’m hoping that that will change.
In addition to these images, the leak also stated that the S7 will come in two size variants, much like the S6 Edge and S6 Edge+. The standard S7 will have a similar screen size to the S6 while the Plus variant will have a massive 6″ display! Going bigger does make a bit of sense as the S6 Edge+ and its 5.7″ display competed directly with Samsung’s other flagship device, the Galaxy Note.
As always, take this story with a grain or two of salt. Nothing is ever official till its official.
