The official HTC 10 announcement is still a week and some away but it seems that a variant is already in the works if this latest leak is to be believed. According to a leaked document posted over on Android News, HTC has a mini variant of the HTC 10 in the works. The device is said to carry a 4.7″ display, Snapdragon 823 and 4GB of RAM. This is compared to the 5.2″ display and Snapdragon 820 that the HTC 10 is expected to pack.
If this is legitimate, HTC could really capture a market that is lacking in premium flagship caliber devices. Most “mini” devices, with the exception of the Xperia Z minis, pack very diluted specs so it’d be awesome to have another “smaller” option that packs the same punch as the 5+” phones.
According to the leak, the device is expected to debut in September so it may be a little while before we get anything concrete on this guy.
