Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past decade plus then you’ve heard of Pokémon. And chances are you’ve not only heard of Pokémon, you’ve probably played the game in some form (card, console, computer).
Well you’ll soon be able to catch your favourite Pokémon in a whole new way! The Pokémon Company is currently working with Nintendo and Niantic (the team behind augmented reality game Ingress) to bring Pokémon to the real world (via augmented reality of course). The game is called Pokémon GO! and it is set to debut in 2016.
As you can see in the video, your smartphone will guide you to nearby monsters and will also be the hub for trades and battles with fellow Pokémon masters. There will also be a very cheap looking Bluetooth wearable to help you on your journey to be the very best!
It’s been quite some time since I’ve played Pokémon but I think I might just have to dive back into it when this game launches.
