We may have the first look at the upcoming LG G5 on our hands! An image recently surfaced on imgur which allegedly showcases LG’s 2016 flagship device. The rear power and volume buttons are definitely reminiscent of previous LG flagships so this could be the real deal.
Another interesting thing that this picture showcases is a dual camera setup! Dual camera setups haven’t been too successful on devices so far but LG did just employ the setup on the V10’s front facing shooter so it wouldn’t be a huge jump for them to use the setup on their flagship.
In addition to the picture, a list of specs was also leaked on Reddit. According to the leak, the G5 will feature a 5.3″ QHD display, Snapdragon 820, 3GB RAM, microSD card slot, 16MP + 8MP Camera, 8MP front facing camera and USB Type-C port. The leak also states that the G5 will employ a metal body, fingerprint reader, and “pressure sensor.” I’m not sure if this implies a pressure sensitive screen or perhaps something else but a pressure sensitive screen would make sense as Samsung is also rumoured to be packing one on their next flagship.
As always, take this with a grain of salt.
