Android 5.1.1 Rolling Out To Rogers & Fido S6 & S6 Edge

S6 & S6 Edge

After a short delay, Rogers and Fido have resumed the roll out of Android 5.1.1 to the Samsung Galaxy S6 & Galaxy S6 Edge.  In addition to the usual bug fixes and performance enhancements, the update also enables Voice Over LTE on the devices.

If you haven’t received the update yet, be sure to jump into your settings and scroll down to about device.  In there you’ll be able to do a manual check.

I’m still waiting for an update on my phone which was originally on SaskTel so it doesn’t seem as though all carriers have resumed the roll out.

Any news, rumors or wild speculation on when Bell or Samsung will release that update for the S6?

This update messed up my phone ( Samsung Galaxy S5). Before the update I was getting nearly 2 days on a fully charged battery, now i am lucky if I get 3 hours even after I put in a new battery. My Wi-fi connection is continuously dropping and then hooking back up again. Everything else that I have that is Wifi does not do that so it has to be the phone. This is just a couple things that have happened since the update. Before this update my phone worked great and i regret letting the update install on my phone.
