Android 4.1.2 Rolling Out For Nexus 7 And Galaxy Nexus

Google has just updated Android up to version 4.1.2.  The update should be rolling out for both the Nexus 7 and the Galaxy Nexus right now so be sure to check your phone or tablet today.  I haven’t received anything on either of my devices yet but I’ll let you know when I do.

At the moment, not too much is known about the contents of the update.  There’s the usual bug fixes, performance enhancements, and stability improvements.  The only visible change that has been recognized is that the Nexus 7 launcher now supports landscape mode.  So if you prefer to hold your Nexus 7 in landscape you won’t need a custom launcher to get it to rotate.

If I find out anything else about the update I’ll be sure to let you all know.  Or if you get the update and come across some changes let us know in the comments.

Haven’t gotten the OTA update for the Galaxy Nexus yet, but I did install the CM10 nightly on my Sensation. Not worth the hassle IMO

No update yet either on my Galaxy Nexus.

Got the 4.1.2 update today. Like people have been saying, landscape mode is only available for the Nexus7 , not the Galaxy Nexus. But I’m still happy I got the update. Mind you, I did flash my Canadian phone to yakju when I first got it, so that’s probably why I got the update. It seems like Canada is still waiting.
Swiftkey is acting up since update, predictive text choice is wonky again.

Got my 4.1.2 OTA update yesterday while in Dallas. I also flashed
my Canadian phone to yakju when I first got it. Disappointed that landscape mode isn’t supported on the Galaxy Nexus. Not noticing anything different so far.

I use Nova Launcher, which gives landscape, and you can remove the search bar . Love it.

I got it yesterday on my Nexus S with Rogers. A bit smoother than 4.1
