Android 4.2.2 Rolling Out To Nexus Devices

Good news for all you Nexus wielders.  The Android 4.2.2 update appears to be officially rolling out to devices today.  So if you happen to have a Nexus 7 or Nexus 10 or even a Galaxy Nexus, there may be a OTA waiting for you.  Galaxy Nexus’ may or may not receive the OTA depending on where you purchased your Galaxy Nexus and whether or not you’ve flashed the yakju version of the software previously.

Strangely, Nexus 4’s don’t appear to be getting the update quite yet but I can’t imagine that this device would be left out.  Especially since several Nexus 4’s being shipped around the world were coming pre-loaded with Android 4.2.2 before anyone even knew about this update.

It doesn’t appear that there’s much new in the update beyond some maintenance and bug fixes.  If you do notice anything new let us know in the comments below!

Did anybody in Canada get the update yet??? I’m seeing mixed messages posted on forums all over the place, but no one is saying for sure that they have it yet…

I have not received it yet either on my Galaxy Nexus or Nexus 7. These things can take a little time so just sit tight:)

In Canada we are second class, so we will get update second after the USA receive it.

    Don’t have it yet

I got the update for my nexus 7 long(4 days) before I did for the nexus 4 (yesterday). Haven’t noticed anything different.

My daughter’s nexus 7 got the update but my galaxy nexus from telus hasn’t. The new swype like typing is now on the 4.2.2 devices and the 360° panorama should be available as well. Stupid telus.
