SanDisk Memory Zone App – A Great Cloud Aggregate!

I know I’ve talked a lot about ‘cloud’ in my posts.  In fact I promote 3 in my signature that any Android user should have.

Trouble is trying to remember at times which cloud had which file (especially when you have more than 1… I have 7!).  So that’s why it’s nice to have a way to see them all at once.  Kind of like how JoliOS has some of your cloud drives right in your file explorer.  Even QuickOffice has a similar version (as I talked about in my previous review), however it’s increasingly annoying me as it keeps losing the login information.

Well the other day I found out about a great app which is just like an aggregate for a bunch of your cloud drives.  SanDisk Memory Zone

This is great.  It has several cloud options for you to plug in to:

Personally, I wish it also had MINUS and SkyDrive access as well.  Not sure what access to my facebook photos would be useful for, but ah well … it’s there.

The interface is pretty intuitive, and clicking on any of the files let’s you open it in an appropriate viewer, and then save and re-upload that file when done.  Nice.

It also has a nice file explorer where it separates your files by types (music, photos, videos, etc…) to see just what you might be looking for.  However, it doesn’t seem to want to keep the folder structure, so it’s a little ‘off putting’ in that sense, but you can easily get around it.

I was going to say it didn’t have much tablet support, but as I was writing it was updating the software for ICS support.

With the update came a widget (which just shows your internal memory… nothing else) and a SUPER slow interface.  You have to swipe up and down between each drive now, instead of seeing them all, then clicking on the one you want to see.  Not cool… :(

However that update only has happened for my tablet, and not my phone … yet (it’s saying it’s calling for an update, but there’s none there).

There’s a bunch of other features, like being able to back up your files to the cloud and v.v., as well as scan through all your files, but for me that’s just extra stuff.

Anyhow, it’s  a great app to bring all your clouds into one ‘atmosphere’ for easy access.  Check it out.

Best of all, it’s free! (being free, you do have to endure the ads, AND they even have a button to show where to buy a new SanDisk card for your appropriate phone).

Go, download now!
