Poll: Which Android Twitter Client Do You Use?

Another weekend, another poll. This time, it’s Twitter. I think Twitter is remarkable personally. Not everyone has to feel the same way but a microblog that’s 140 characters which gets pushed out to followers no matter where I go is my sort of thing.

Now sure, you can just go to Twitter’s website and pretty much do everything, even on your phone. But apps do a much better job of this, especially on a phone and my twitter app is usually my most used app on any smartphone that I’ve owned. Picking the best Twitter app is difficult with so many out there.

When I’m using my Nexus One, I use Twitter For Android. Here’s why:

  • Quick to load
  • Pretty. (Yes, cosmetics do matter)
  • Supports Geotagging
  • Picture thumbnails in the timelines

It’s not perfect though! Here’s stuff I wish it could do:

  • View conversation threads. (This one just puzzles me)
  • Sync my tweets with a Mac/PC/Browser client
  • Let me get to the settings a little less awkwardly

I used Twidroid before Twitter for Android came along and I thought it was a also a good client. Very feature rich but the really cool stuff was only in the Pro version which cost about $4-5. I know that’s not a lot but I’m cheap and don’t have the healthiest income. I’ve also tried Seesmic, which has a very slick interface.

But I really wanna know what you guys use! and as much as I like seeing votes, I really wanna know WHY. Maybe someone can give me a good reason to switch (has anyone found a client that syncs with Mac?) And while we’re on the topic, you can follow me on Twitter right here.

I have Seesmic and Twitter, but I end up using Twitter because it has a better looking widget.

I've been using the TweetDeck beta for about a week, and loving it. Still not quite perfect, but they have already put out 2 or 3 updates adding features and tweaking the ui based on user feedback, and it's already shaping up damn nicely. Love the facebook/buzz/foursquare integration…and it's BLAZING fast, though that may change a bit once it's got a pile more features, hard to say.

I used to use twitdroid until they changed their name. I now use Twitter for Android.
