Android Netflix Updates to 1.4.1 – Still Works for Some in Canada (Download Link)

I might be a couple days late to the punch on this one, but if you have not updated yet, here it is.

I have done a couple Netflix posts in the past, having people installing Netflix and reporting back if it’s working for them in Canada or not. You can find the link to my earlier update ( HERE )

I often feel bad when posting these Netflix updates, because some unlucky people are left out of the circle that we get to sit in. The fact that there is really nothing anyone can do about it, kinda makes me feel guilty sometimes.

In any case, Netflix for the Android is not available via the Android Market, as it’s suppose to be for Americans only at the moment. Some lucky Canadians are able to enjoy this service, but for some unknown reason others are blocked. For those of you who are able to bask in the glorious goodness which is Netflix on your Android, I have provided a download link at the bottom of this page.

If it didn’t work for you before, chances are it wont work this time around either. If you haven’t yet tried, perhaps give it a shot and come back and let the rest of us know your results.

Change log has been listed as General fixes, no big changes here.

Love Netflix. Love my Nexus S. Love Wind. I can’t make it work. Tries EVERY version in the apps evolution and no love. Hoping one day it will magically work…

Didnt work on my transformer, but I found a way around it via forum search,
1 install latest netflix apk, (dont log in yet)
2 sign up for a free vpn or trial (I used vpnreactor)
3 set vpn in wireless/network settings and connect
4 Sign in to netflix and watch a movie for about 20 seconds.
5 Disconnect vpn, restart droid, and you’re ready to go
no need to stay on the vpn after that.
