Android Market Screenshots Coming Soon!

The Android Market is taking some time to get out of the gates. For starters, it was an error that Android Market did not have screenshots included! I mean, come on, “a picture is worth a thousand words” they say. How can developers expect to push their apps if there are no screenshots?

Take a look at the iPhone App Store for example. They have had application screenshots since day one. It was a mistake for Android to let this one slip by that’s for sure. Android Market 1.6 is coming soon and there will be a new way to browse apps! On top of this there will be reviews posted too. Take a look at this promotional video below:

I got Advanced Task Manager for $0.99USD or $1.14CAD back in July just to test the market out after I first rooted. Currently running CyanogenMOD v4.0.4 and loving every bit of it. It's like a whole new phone now!

It was the inability to purchase apps that drove me to root my Rogers Magic. I was a little nervous at first, but it worked out fine.(Just recently went whole hog and upgraded OS to a znazzy cyanogen build. The 5 screens alone are worth it).

Rogers' follow through on the customer experience is well, non-existent: no Android accessories, no full Android Market. Sheesh. I'm going to have to hit a T-Mobile store next time I'm in the states to get a case for my Magic (although it does fit into my old BBB case).

Purchase? Who in Canada can purchase apps from the market (other than those with root)? Until rogers gets off their lazy asses the majority of rogers android customers can't purchase apps via the official market.

Yeah, the site is called AndroidinCanada and you ask us which Apps we've bought from the Market? Canadians can't buy Apps from the market unless you root it and use Market Enabler!! Only app I've bought is Bloo from SlideMe...
